YOTA 2016

The RSGB Youth Committee is seeking an experienced leader to take 3 or 4 young members to Austria as part of the IARU Region 1 YOTA programme at the end of July 2016.
Key roles and responsibilities:
– Liaise with the RSGB Youth Chairman on any issues relating to the trip.
– Liaise with parents/guardians on matters such as special dietary needs, transport to/from the airport, etc.
– Liaise with the event organisers on any issues that may arise.
– Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed e.g. YOTA booking forms, parental permissions, etc.
– Ensure that the booking process is completed for booking flights and tickets.
– Act as legal guardian for the young participants whilst they are away and supervise them as appropriate.
Essential criteria:
– Active Radio Amateur
– RSGB member
– Experience working with young people as a youth leader.
– No legal reason to prevent work with young people.
The successful applicant will be DBS checked in accordance with the RSGB safeguarding procedures.
