News for England Midlands – 19 April 2015

We start with news that South Manchester Radio and Computing Club is changing its meeting place from 23 April. The new venue is the Woodheys Club, 299 Washway Road, Sale, M33 4EE. This is on the A56 between Manchester and Altrincham. Technical Forum meetings are on Monday evenings and formal meetings are at 8pm every Thursday. Enquiries to chairman@smrcc.org.uk.

Now for clubs that have several events this week. Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has its 6m open net on 50.135MHz from 8.30pm tonight and next Sunday. Monday sees an open net on 145.250MHz FM from 7.30pm. More information from Robert Bird, by email to spirit.guide@hotmail.co.uk.

Wythall Radio Club has a club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL at 8pm tonight and next Sunday. The Tuesday Morse class is at 7.45pm, followed by the Easter contest results. Lincoln Short Wave Club UK is holding a committee meeting on Monday and taking part in the UKCC on Tuesday. On Wednesday there is a formal meeting.
