Rallies and Events News – 12 April 2015
The 31st Yeovil QRP Convention takes place today, 12th April, at Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 3AA. There will be talk-in on S22 and the doors open at 9.30am. Admission is £3 and there will be trade stands, a Bring & Buy as well as a lecture stream. More details from Steve, G7AHP, on 01803 666 407.
Also today, the 12th, the 52nd Northern Amateur Radio Societies Association Exhibition will be held at Norbreck Castle Exhibition Centre, Blackpool FY2 9AA. Doors open from 10.30am, with disabled visitors gaining access 15 minutes earlier. There will be trade stands and a Bring & Buy as well as an RSGB bookstall. The RSGB understands that roadworks to improve the A585 Windy Harbour junction may impact travel to the rally. We have been advised that the best route is to use M55 junction 4, not junction 3, in order to avoid temporary signals and a 30mph speed limit. Details from Dave, M0OBW on 01270 761 608.
Next weekend, on the 19th, the Andover Radio and Computer Boot Sale will be held at Wildhern Village Hall, near Andover, Hampshire SP11 0JE. Doors open at 9am for sellers and 10am for buyers. E-mail arac@arac.org.uk for more details.
