Contest News – 1 March 2015
This weekend is the CQ WW 160m DX contest. It started at 2200UTC on Friday 27th and ends its 48 hour run today, the 1st. It’s SSB only and the exchange is signal report and CQ Zone, which for the UK is 14.
On Monday, the data leg of the 80m Club Championships runs from 2000 to 2130UTC. The exchange is signal report and serial number.
On Tuesday, the 144MHz UK Activity Contest runs from 1000 to 2230UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
Next weekend the 144/432MHz contest runs for 24 hours from 1400UTC on the 7th. Using all modes in both bands the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
Also next weekend is the ARRL International DX contest running for 48 hours from 0000UTC on the 7th. It is an SSB contest using the 1.8 to 28MHz bands. The exchange is signal report and transmitted power, with American and Canadian stations sending their state or province code.
The first in this year’s series of five low band contests organised by the UK Microwave Group takes place on Sunday 8th from 1000 to 1600UTC, Using all modes on the 1.3 to 3.4GHz bands, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
