Rallies and Events News – 22 June 2014
Today, 22 June, the East Suffolk Wireless Revival, otherwise known as the Ipswich Radio Rally, is being held at the Orwell Crossing Lorry Park, A14 Eastbound, Nacton, Ipswich IP10 0DD. Entry is £2, from 9.30am. Visitors can expect trade stands, a Bring and Buy, special interest groups and a RSGB bookstall. Details from Kevin, G8MXV on 07710 046 846.
The LAM Communications Rally will take place today, 22 June and is in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Held at Building 21, Elsecar Heritage Centre, Wath Road, Elsecar, Barnsley, S74 8HJ, visitors will find car parking and admission to the Heritage Centre free, with entry to the rally £2. Doors open from 10am to 4pm and there will be trade stands, a Bring and Buy as well as catering facilities. Information from Clare Marsh, by e-mail, to sales@lamcommunications.net.
Next week the German Hamtronic show takes place from Friday to Sunday at Messe, Friedrichshafen. There will be a large RSGB book stall plus major manufacturers, other trade stands and a huge flea market. A series of lectures also take place, and there is catering plus evening entertainment. Next Sunday sees the West Of England Radio Rally at the Cheese and Grain, Bridge Street, Frome, Somerset BA11 1BE. There is car parking, the opening time is 10am and admission is £2.50.
