About the presenters

Eric Arkinstall, M0KZB

Eric Arkinstall, M0KZB, is a retired computer engineer who has been interested in Morse code ever since he was a teenager. He was initially licensed as G7KZB before becoming M0KZB. Eric used to build his own projects out of whatever he could lay his hands on.

He is a member of Telford and District Amateur Radio Society (TDARS) and Salop Amateur Radio Society. He has also been Chairman of TDARS twice, totalling approximately nine years.

Eric now teaches Morse code and operates as GB2CW. His other interests are fishing and boating. He is also Commodore of a Yacht Club.

Michael Topple, GM5AUG

Michael, GM5AUG was first licensed in 2011, following a visit to the National Radio Centre at Bletchley Park. From early on he knew he wanted to learn CW and was tutored by friends in the Colchester Radio Amateurs Club. He now serves as an RSGB Morse Assessor, a GB2CW broadcaster and is also the RSGB District 13 Representative.

Aside from his interest in Morse code, he has been involved in the revival of the UK Packet Network and is SYSOP of four packet nodes across the central belt of Scotland.
