David Quigley, G3PRI
It is with sadness that we report the passing of David Quigley, G3PRI.
Dave was first licensed as G3PRI in 1961 while serving in the Army in Germany and also gained the German callsign DL2PB. Further service in the Middle East resulted Dave gaining MP4TBK and VS9ADQ callsigns.
On his return to the UK, Dave settled in the Isle of Wight and later moved to Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire on the death of his first wife.
Dave was active on the 80-10m and 2m bands and was a member of the RSGB, RSARS and RNARS. He became a voluntary conservator of radar and radio equipment at The Imperial War Museum, Duxford in 2015 and until November last year was Chairman of the Bishop’s Stortford Amateur Radio Society.
Dave is survived by his wife, Faith and their family.
