Ken Bran, G3UDC, 25 March 2018
It is my sad duty to pay tribute to Ken Bran, G3UDC, who sadly passed away on 25 March 2018.
Ken, who then was G8ACX, along with Dudley Craven, G3PUN (SK) and myself in 1963 produced the very first guitar amplifier which today is known as the Marshall JTM45. Without Ken’s input there would not be a “Marshall” today
We all worked from our shacks very long hours, as we all had full time jobs, to get them on the shelves.
A lot has happened since then as Marshall is now one of the largest guitar amplifier manufacturers in the world, thanks to amateur radio.
Thanks for everything Ken, sleep tight and RIP
