Ted Brown’s interest in radio communications was kindled by CB radio, not gaining his amateur radio licence until his later years. He very much embraced the hobby and in particular the E-link facility provided via the station of the local RSGB Newsreader in Perth.
Despite his ill -health, Ted was an enthusiastic fund raiser, arranging mini-rallies for both CB and amateur radio interests. His endeavours raised over £45,000 for local and national charities. Ted was a member of Perth & District ARG and Dundee ARC, groups affiliated to RSGB. His contribution to our hobby will be much missed both locally and by friends around the world.
