DX News – 16 March 2014
JF1CCH will be active as 8Q7TS from Hulhumale Island in the Maldives from 20 to 31 March. Operations will be on 10 through 40 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. There’s also a chance he may show up on 160 and 80m as well. QSL via his home callsign.
John, VK6HZ, will once again be active as VK6ARI from Rottnest Island, OC-164, between 23 and 30 March. Activity will be holiday style on 10 to 40 meters using SSB, PSK and RTTY, possibly CW. The antenna will be a Buddipole and activity will be around the usual IOTA frequencies. QSL via VK6HZ, direct or by the Bureau. Log will be uploaded to Club Log and Logbook of The World.
Two stations will be active from Chatham Island in the coming weeks. ZL7/OE2SNL will operate mainly RTTY and some CW. He will be there until 20 March. The second group of ZS1FJ, VE7NY and ZL1GMB will be joined by OE2SNL and will use the callsign ZL7AAA from 20 March to 1 April. This group will be on HF using SSB, CW and RTTY.
Gert, ZS6AYU will sign C91GR from Mozambique from 16 to 19 March. QSL to his home callsign.
Krish, W4VKU, will be active as VU4K from Port Blair between 23 to 30 March. Activity will be on the 10 to 80m bands using SSB and RTTY. He will have a 2 element SteppIR + 30/40m, Acom 1000 and maybe a Butternut Vertical antenna. QSL via W4VKU and OQRS will be open in early April 2014. Real time logs will be available via Club Log.
