Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society has a CW net on 144.060MHz on Sundays from 8pm. Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society has announced an Intermediate and Full Fastrack Training Course at Danbury Village Hall on Thursdays 5, 12 and 19 February from 7pm to 9pm.

The course is aimed at candidates who wish to undertake revision and final exam preparation, face-to-face with the Society’s experienced trainers. Sessions include typical exam questions and in-depth explanations of the answers. The trainers can also assist with specific areas of the syllabus where greater understanding of a topic may be needed, as well as tips and advice on best exam practice.

Cray Valley Radio Society meets at the 1st Royal Eltham Scout HQ at the rear of 61 to 71 Southend Crescent, Eltham London, SE9 2SD on the first and third Thursdays of the month. The doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Visitors are always welcome.

A face-to-face Foundation licence training course is being planned for two Saturdays in early Spring 2026. Go to cvrs.uk  and click on the ‘Training’ tab to apply early. Courses are open to amateurs from other clubs.

On Saturday and Sunday 3-4 January, the Society has the KW Equipment Weekend and Exhibition at its Eltham HQ from 8am to 5pm.

The Society’s 2m and 4m FM nets take place on 145.350MHz on Sundays at 10am and on Fridays at 8pm on 70.425MHz. A Top Band net is held on the first Monday of the month around 1.905MHz, beginning using SSB and then moving to AM. There is a net on 1.905MHz from 8pm on Saturday.
