Radio amateur awarded OBE
The RSGB would like to congratulate Charles Brookson, G4GBA on being awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honour List. He is Chairman of the Network and Information Security Steering Group and received the honour for his services to telecommunications security.

DXPedition of the Year winners 2014
DX World has announced the winners of DXpedition of the Year for 2014 and the RSGB was delighted to learn that the single-handed effort by Nigel, G3TXF operating as ZD9XF from Tristan da Cuhna was placed fifth. Top slot and outright winner was the large, professional DXpedition FT5ZM from Amsterdam Island.
