Take your programming skills up a notch!

This six-hour workshop built on the basics of Arduino programming covered at the RSGB 2024 Convention, or for those who already had some basic programming skills. It covered programming a Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) for RF generation, as well as how to use generative AI tools such as ChatGPT to write software.

What did it involve?

RSGB Board Directors Mark Jones, G0MGX and Stewart Bryant, G3YSX took attendees through the AD5890, AD5891 and ADF4351. The workshop covered the maths associated with the more complex ADF4351, and the basic programming requirements for its usage. It then focused on practical programming examples using this hardware, including some generated using AI coding techniques also known as vibe coding.

Attendees left with the components they experimented with to allow them to continue to experiment using these technologies afterwards.
