Introduction to Microcontroller Unit (MCU) programming

This two-hour workshop led by RSGB Board Director, Mark Jones, G0MGX, introduce people to MCU programming through a short presentation followed by practical exercises.

For a taster, check out our YouTube short.

What did it involve?

Attendees received an Arduino board, a set of DuPont wires, a breadboard and two specific devices that they were able to take away with them at the end of the workshop.

The exercises took participants through using the Arduino IDE, basic programming and interfacing to the provided devices.

“Mark was brilliant. He made the session very accessible – even to someone like me who hadn’t encountered nano-Arduinos before”
