Workshops

Participants in last year's MCU workshop

Taking part in workshops provides you with a safe space to try something new, with the comfort of having someone on hand to guide you through the process. Not only that, they are also fun to take part in, and you’ll have learnt a new skill to take away with you.

At this year’s Convention we had three workshops for people to attend.

Programme:

Friday 10 October: 10.00 – 16.00

“Take your programming skills up a notch” – a six-hour workshop covering programming a Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) for RF generation

Saturday 11 October: 13:45 – 15:45

“Introduction to Microcontroller Unit (MCU) programming” – a two-hour workshop introducing you to MCU programming

Sunday 12 October: 10:30 – 12:30

“Antenna building workshop” – be guided through the process of constructing a 49:1 balun for use with a QRP end-fed long-wire antenna

The cost of each workshop was subsidised by the RSGB Legacy Funds. Every attendee also received a £5 RSGB book voucher.
