Drop-in sessions and forums

Drop-in session on the UK Meteor Beacon Project

Following on from his presentation on the UK Meteor beacon GB3MBA, Brian Coleman, G4NNS and Heather Nickalls, M0HMO will be hosting a drop-in session. The forum will give you an opportunity to ask questions and talk with them in more detail. Whilst they are happy to answer general questions not covered in the presentation, the session will focus on:

• A quick-start guide to setting up a receiver

• Creating a STEM project introducing concepts of radio and astronomy

• How to contribute to research using the project Live stream and recorded data archive

This session will take place at 14.30 on Saturday 11 October.

Contest trophy presentations and contest forums

The main VHF and HF contest trophies will be presented starting at 9.15 on Sunday 12 October. The winners of the prestigious G5RP and ROTAB trophies will be announced by the RSGB President, Bob Beebe, GU4YOX.

The Contest Forums will also take place on the Sunday. The VHF Contest Forum begins at 11.30, whilst the HF Contest Forum starts at 14.15.
