Best practice for affiliated clubs running amateur radio public events

Following the research initially undertaken for the RSGB Inspire Working Group, Recommendations and Best Practices Running Public Events draws together some of the key recommendations and best practice identified during discussions, observations and workshops.

It sets out to highlight aspects of how we plan and execute public events to promote amateur radio.

The recommendations documented here initially came out of the research undertaken in 2014 and 2015 into how we, as a body of radio amateurs, approach promoting our hobby through special events open to the general public.

They were captured through online discussions, observations and workshops and underpin the advice and guidance provided by the RSGB on running public events now available under the Events Pack heading.
