There was been no formal progress on this agenda item and it will next be dealt with in Committee 4, probably during next Tuesday’s session.
Agenda Item 1.15 – HF Oceanic Radar
Discussions will continue into the weekend in order to complete the work at sub working group level. No agreement has yet been reached on a segment at 5MHz but negotiations continue on this and other frequency segments above 30MHz.
Agenda Item 8.2 – Future Agenda Items
Ongoing discussions include those on a possible 5MHz allocation to the amateur service. This proposal has now gained the support of Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, so support is growing. Lobbying continues to try and gain support from administrations and organisations outside of Latin America.
