RSGB Board – March 2025 key messages
Following its meeting in March, the RSGB Board has shared these key messages:
- Audit: Board noted that as in the past few years, the Audit was unqualified and the auditors identified no issues during their audit. The Board felt that this should confirm to members that the Society’s financial procedures were in good order. Board recognised the substantial amount of work which is done each year by HQ staff and particularly by the Financial Controller to deliver this. Board placed on record its appreciation for this work and congratulated the staff on achieving this successful outcome again
- Electronic RadCom and RSGB app – the RSGB web app would be launched later in March to coincide with the April edition of RadCom. It would give access to digital versions of RadCom back to 2013, together with RadCom Basics, RadCom Plus, the Affiliated Societies Club Newsletter and a Sample RadCom. Development of the mobile version of the RSGB app continues which will allow the downloading of editions for offline reading when launched. The Board welcomed the announcement of this service
- Board decided to hold an in-person meeting to help further the implementation of the strategy
- Board welcomed the appointment of Scouts, Cadets and Guides Youth Champion, Samuel McCutchion, M7UEL and the new Youth Chair Chris Aitken, MM0WIC
