RSGB Board – August 2024 key messages
Following its meeting in August, the RSGB Board has shared these key messages:
- Board noted that the Society was probably the most active publisher of amateur radio books in the world. In 2023 the Society had introduced more than 30 new products, including 24 RSGB books and other merchandise, had invoiced 13,000 items across 255 different products in 55 countries. A number of new RSGB books were in the course of preparation and would be released in the next few months
- Peter Bowyer, G4MJS had been allocated Board Liaison responsibility for the three Contest Committees, the Trophy Manager and the Trophy Archivist activities.
- Work continued to prepare for the RSGB 2024 Convention – ticket sales were open and were progressing well
- An RSGB Village would be set up at the Hamfest to include a number of RSGB activities with an emphasis on practical work. In addition the RSGB bookstand would carry an extensive range of titles and other merchandise as well as the usual facility to join the Society. HQ staff and RSGB volunteers would be present and would help explain the work of the Society to Hamfest visitors
