GB2VJ will be on the air from 8 August to 4 September to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VJ Day. Details are at www.essexcw.org.uk.
Leicester Radio Society will be operating GB2VJD from Groby Road, Leicester LE3 9QJ to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VJ Day on 14 and 15 August. It’s a ground floor venue and visitors are welcome. Details from John, G0IJM on 07939 121 132.
Stockton and District ARS is activating GB6HPL on 15 and 16 August from The Heugh Gun Battery, Hartlepool, which is lighthouse number 188. Operation will be on 40m, 20m, 10m and 2m.
Riviera ARC will be running a special event station on 15 August from Berry Head, Brixham using the callsign GB4BHL. They will be operating from the Napoleonic Fort at Berry Head with kind permission from Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust.
