Keynote Speaker for 2025 Convention announced
We’re delighted to announce that our keynote speaker for the RSGB 2025 Convention will be Professor Lucie Green.
Prof. Green is a Professor of Physics and a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL) of the University College London (UCL). She has also presented many TV and radio programmes including The Sky at Night and Stargazing Live.
A UK team of researchers including Professor Green are working on the launch of a spacecraft mission which will allow us to view the Sun’s atmosphere in more detail than ever before. The proposed MESOM (Moon-Enabled Sun Occultation Mission) will enable researchers to study the conditions that create solar storms, leading to improvements in forecasts of space weather on Earth.
At the RSGB Convention, Prof. Green will give an update on this project.
