Contest News – 13 July 2014

Apologies from the GB2RS script team for getting the time of NFD incorrect last week. Thankfully all those entering will have taken a good look at the rules before competing and will have noted the correct time.

The IARU HF Championship ends its 24 hour activity at 1200UTC today, 13 July. Using CW and SSB on the 1.8 to 28MHz bands the exchange is signal report and ITU zone number. For stations in the UK, the number is 27.

On Tuesday the UHF UK Activity Contest runs from 1900 to 2130UTC. Using the 1.3GHz band the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.

On Wednesday the SSB leg of the 80m Club Championships takes place at 1900 to 2030UTC. The exchange is the usual signal report and serial number.

Next Sunday, 20 July, the Low Power Contest runs from 0900 to 1600UTC. Using CW only on the 3.5 and 7MH bands the exchange is signal report, serial number and power.

Also on 20 July, the 70MHz Trophy runs from 1000 to 1600UTC. Using all modes the exchange is signal report, serial number, locator and postcode.

Finally for 20 July, the UK Microwave Group is holding the 24 to 248GHz Contest from 0900 to 1700UTC. Using all modes on the bands, the exchange is signal report, serial number and locator.
