Steven, M7SGW – aged 10
I became interested in amateur radio as my Dad is licensed – his call sign is G0REN.
I took my Foundation exam in September 2020 when I was still nine-years-old and am delighted that I passed!
At the moment I’m trying to make VHF contacts on a handheld but I’d like to try HF SSTV in the future. I’m also interested in doing some hill walks with CQ calls from the top.
My school doesn’t have an amateur radio club and I don’t know any other young amateurs – yet!
I’d like to know more about activities for young radio amateurs. The Beyond Exams resources sound interesting so I’m going to take a look at those.
