Membership Services portal: essential maintenance

There will be further short periods of downtime affecting the Membership Services portal and logins to the web and mobile app between 09.00 and 09.30 on 9 February 2026
This is to apply a final set of updates to resolve remaining issues with Membership Services authentication on non-portal resources (see updates below at 15.10 on 6 February 2026, and at 16.20 on 4 February 2026).
We will continue to update this post with news on the progress of these works.
UPDATE 15:10 06/02/2026
We are pleased to report a fix has been developed for the issue affecting non-portal resource logins for members.
For a list of affected services, see the update below at 16.20 on 4 February 2026.
The fix is now in the testing and evaluation stage and we plan to push it out to the live site as early as possible next week.
Again, our apologies for any continuing inconvenience.

UPDATE 16:20 04/02/2026
We are pleased to report that the Membership Services portal and the mobile and web apps are now fully operational again.
Owing to a number of unforeseen issues, maintenance work on the system over-ran into this afternoon, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We are now clearing up a few remaining issues on the system affecting non-portal resource logins for members.
You may still encounter issues accessing –
- RSGB Board proceedings
- Members discounted museum entry vouchers
- Planning advice leaflets
- Club insurance – To Whom it May Concern letter
We will continue working on this remaining issue and keep you updated on progress.
