Bury St Edmunds Amateur Radio Society meets at Rougham Tower Museum on the third Wednesday of each Month. It is a small but very active club. There are club nets every day of the week except Sunday. Hastings Electronics and Radio Club holds a daily net via the GB3ES repeater at 10am. A CW net is held on Monday nights at 8pm on 144.575MHz. The CW net is aimed at anyone new to CW or wishing to brush up their CW skills. Non-members are welcome. The net is followed by general conversation. On Wednesdays, usually at 1pm, members meet up at various locations in the area for an afternoon of portable radio on the air on both HF and VHF bands using SSB, CW an66d FM voice. On the 30 June 2024 the GB3OV repeater situated in the Ouse Valley will have a system upgrade which will mean that the usual receive and transmit frequencies will change to match most of the UK repeaters’ setup. Details of the changeover frequencies, CTCSS and split are published on the Huntingdonshire Amateur Radio Society’s website under the GB3OV Repeater tab. The website can be found by searching for ‘Hunts Hams’. The GB3OV repeater has been running since the 24 November 1985, using TAIT 300 Series base modules, on the same site and will now be upgraded with modern equipment which will see users benefitting from better coverage and operability. Due to its location, the repeater is one of the most used in East Anglia.

On Sundays, the Isle of Wight Radio Society has a net via GB7PO and GB7MT from 8pm. The Society has a net from Monday to Friday via the GB3IW repeater from 6.15am.
