Advance notice now for the Essex CW Amateur Radio Club CW Boot Camp held on 27 October at the 3rd Witham Scout & Guide HQ, located at the rear of Spring Lodge Community Centre, Powers Hall End, Witham, Essex CM8 2HE. Doors open at 8.30 for registration and the event runs from at 9am to about 4.30pm. Parking is free. Entry is £10, which includes free sausage rolls, drinks and cakes. Surrey Radio Contact Club has a net this Sunday and next Sunday on 1905kHz at 9.30am. On Monday it hosts a fix-it and skills session, led by John, G8MNY. Loughton and Epping Forest Amateur Radio Society has a net on Thursday from 8pm on 144.725MHz. Next Saturday they will be activating and operating GB2RGM for Railways on the Air weekend. Next Saturday and Sunday Dover Amateur Radio Club, as part of ROTA, will be operating an SES from Shepherdswell Station at Station Road, Shepherdswell, Kent, CT15 7PE, from 9am to 5pm.
