Mid Ulster Amateur Radio Club will be holding its monthly meeting today at 3pm at the club premises in Turkington’s Yard, accessible via the rear entrance at Mahon Industrial Estate, off Mahon Road, Portadown, Co. Armagh BT62 3EH. Please arrive by 2.55pm. Talk-in is on 145.500MHz. After a short club business session, club member Adrian 2I0IZI will deliver a presentation on the Community Rescue Service organisation, during which he will explain the reasons behind the service, outline its works and activities and describe some of the equipment used. Adrian is an active member of the service and will recall some of his hands-on experiences in search and rescue and crisis management covering all sorts of terrain in both urban and rural situations.
