News for Northern Ireland – 1 June 2014
We start with the very sad news that RSGB Deputy Regional Manager Melvyn Irvine, MI0MSR, passed away suddenly on Thursday evening whilst attending his local club. Melvyn was a faithful member of the Region 8 team and was well known as Jim Bob’s sidekick at rallies the length and breadth of the country. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
Mid Ulster Amateur Radio Club is taking part in the RSGB 2m activity night on Tuesday and making preparations for Lurgan Show, where the club will have a stand on Saturday.
