Aberkenfig and District Amateur Radio Club meets on Wednesdays from 7pm at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend, CF32 9DY. The Club is an approved RSGB Examination Centre for those wishing to study and take their amateur radio exams.
The Club is holding free workshops for all local radio amateurs over the winter months. The next workshop, ‘An Introduction to Raynet’, is being held on Wednesday, 28 January 2026 at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend, CF32 9DY and starts at 7.30pm.

Carmarthan Amateur Radio Society has lots of activity planned during the festive period. Today, 28 December, and next Sunday, 4 January, there will be an HF net on the 80m band using SSB from 2.30pm. These nets will be followed by an experimental 40m SSB net, conditions permitting.
On Tuesday there will be a digital net on XLX490D using either D-Star or C4FM modes, starting at 8pm. On Wednesday there will be an open 70cm net on GB3CM, starting at 7.30pm. On Thursday, New Year’s Day, there will be an SSB net on the 80m band from 2pm, followed by an experimental 40m SSB net, conditions permitting.
Tuesday, 6 January sees a social, mince pie and nibbles night at the usual venue in Cwmduad from 6.30pm. All members are invited to bring food along. Please contact Andy, GW0JLX on 07768 282 880 for specific information on any of the above, or for general information concerning the club.
Chepstow and District Amateur Radio Society meets on Tuesday from 7.30pm in the Scout Hut next to the British Legion on Grahamstown Road, Sedbury, Chepstow, NP16 7AD. The Society welcomes all radio users. gw4lwz.co.uk
Cwmbran and District Amateur Radio Society has a club night on Wednesdays from 7pm at Henllys Village Hall, NP44 6JZ. New and old members are always welcome. The Society has a fully equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater, with an Echolink connection, via GB3YA-R. Both are owned and maintained by the club.
