Aberkenfig and District Amateur Radio Club has its weekly meeting on Wednesday from 7pm at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend. Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding a face-to-face meeting with a ‘show-and-tell’ element on Tuesday 18 April starting at 6.30pm. The principal focus of the meeting will be an informal discussion concerning the possible adoption of a weekly digital net to replace one of the two, 2m FM weekly nets, so there is no 2m FM net on GB3FG that Tuesday evening. Three other regular nets are being held during the week: a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting 7.30pm; a 2m FM net on GB3FG on Thursday starting at 8pm; and an 80m SSB net on Sunday starting at 2.30pm. On Sundays, Dragon Amateur Radio Club has a net around 145.550MHz from 7pm. On Monday the club will be holding a Junk Sale at its usual meeting place, Canolfan Esceifiog, Gaerwen, Anglesey, LL60 6HS. Doors will be open at 6.45pm and the sale will begin at 7.15pm. Non-members are most welcome to attend to the sale. Please bring along any radio and electronics junk you would like to sell. Highfields Amateur Radio Club meets at Rhiwbina Recreation Club, Lon Y Dail, Cardiff CF14 6EA at 7pm every Tuesday. The club has access for disabled visitors. The group has nets on GB3WB from 9.30pm to 10.30pm most nights of the week. The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 25 April from 7pm. Phoenix Amateur Radio Club Cymru meets every other Wednesday at 12pm at 14 Locks Canal Centre, High Cross, Newport NP10 9GN. The club has an HF net on Wednesday evenings on 1.938MHz LSB which starts around 7.30pm. On Tuesday evenings the club has a D-Star net on DCS002B from 8pm.
