News for Wales – 27 March 2022
Wales Digital Radio group have some events coming up over the next few months. The month of May brings SOS Radio week and WDRG will be active throughout the month using GB8RNLI raising awareness of the great job being done by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution around our shores by the many volunteers who provide 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland. An event is planned between the 19th and 22nd of May at Fochras Island.
Barry Amateur Radio Society meets each Tuesday from 7.30pm at the Sully Sports and Social Club. On Monday the AGM is from 6.30pm and all members are encouraged to attend as the Agenda includes important items relating to the affiliation of the club. There is a club net on Wednesday from 8pm on 433.450MHz and on Friday there is a Zoom meeting hosted by Glyn, GW0ANA. On Tuesday Newport Amateur Radio Society has a net on 145.375MHz from 8pm. There is a club night and Zoom meeting from 7pm on Thursday. Sunday sees a net around 3.705MHz from 10am. Visit the website for details.

Carmarthen ARS has four nets this week. Today there is an 80m SSB net from 2.30pm. On Tuesday and Thursday the net moves to GB3FG starting at 8pm. There is a net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm. Andy, GW0JLX on 07768 282880.
