News for England Midlands – 27 October 2019
We start with an announcement by Solihull ARS of a new activity award they are running during the winter months. It starts Sunday, 27 October, the day we put our clocks back to GMT. Called The Midlands Inter-Club GMT Award, it is an attempt to reverse the current decline in local on-air activity, primarily on our under-used VHF bands. Cheltenham Amateur Radio Association announces that their next Foundation course will be held over the weekend 18 and 19 January 2020. The exam will be on the following Saturday, 25 January 2020. For more information and to register for the course, contact Barry via email to training@g5bk.uk.
