News for England North – 28 March 2021

Last week, Hambleton ARS has completed a full year of daily operation of their 11am net on 2m. The net was started to keep members and amateurs in the area in touch and able to summon help or assistance if required, during the Covid-19 pandemic. All are welcome to join in and topics are wide and varied. So far, over 70 different stations have called in at some point. There are no in-person meetings for the Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society. Until restrictions are lifted there will be a net on Wednesday evenings on the Carnane 70cm repeater from 7.30pm. Sunday open nets will continue on 3.715MHz at 9.30am and 10pm, plus a net on the GB3IM repeater network after the GB2RS news. Two new APRS stations now give coverage in the North and South East of the Island, also now in Peel.
