News for England North – 14 March 2021

The North West Allstar Group has a new repeater in Haslingden, Lancashire. It is part of a network of linked gateways and repeaters in north-west England allowing analogue access to the Allstar network. GB3RO is on Allstar 70cm Analog Repeater Node 54011, 430.825MHz +7.6MHz, 82.5Hz Tx tone, linked to North West Allstar Group on Node 40338. Signal reports are welcome.

Meetings of the Isle of Man ARS are suspended until further notice due to new Covid-19 restrictions. There are open nets on Sundays on 3.715MHz at 9.30am and 10pm, plus a net on the GB3IM repeater network after the GB2RS news. Wednesday sees a net via the Carnane 70cm repeater from 7.30pm.

Central Lancs Amateur Radio Club has an open net on Sundays from 11am on 1.940MHz. Most afternoons see CQ and a brew at half past two around 70.450MHz FM. On Tuesday there’s an open net around 70.450MHz at 7.30pm. Saturday’s net is on 1.938MHz from 11am. Contact Peter, G3UCA, on 01772 494 474.
