We start with news that Roy, G8CKN has decided to retire from reading and presenting the GB2RS News. He started broadcasting at the beginning of the 2 metre FM service 37 years ago, adding simultaneous 70cm FM and 23 cm ATV transmissions for the last 21 years with worldwide internet video streaming from 15 years ago. A replacement or replacements are required to take over the current transmissions on 2m FM, 70cm FM via GB3BN, 23cm analogue or 70cm digital ATV via GB3HV and internet streaming via BATC.tv. If any one would like to take over as a GB2RS newsreader in the Hampshire or central southern England area please contact the GB2RS News Manager, Ken Hatton, G3VBA, on gb2rs.manager@rsgb.org.uk. Assistance will be given to set up these transmissions and some equipment may also be available.

This Sunday and next North Bristol Amateur Radio Club has an open net on GB3BS from 7 to 8pm. Details from Mat, G7FBD, via email to g7fbd@gb3bs.com.
