RSGB Board and other leading volunteer vacancies

The RSGB Nominations Committee maintains a list of RSGB Members interested in seeking possible nomination or election to the RSGB Board of Directors, or who are willing to help the Society in other leading volunteer positions. The list is held in confidence by the RSGB Nominations Committee Chair. Brief details of experience and qualifications are held alongside each interested individual to enable the list to be used for identifying possible candidates for consideration when vacancies occur throughout the Society.

From time to time, for instance due to illness or other unforeseen problems, mid-year vacancies occur within the Board of Directors. If such a situation arises, the Nominations Committee convenes a meeting and attempts to match an individual from the list to fill the gap.

If you have experience in general management or any of the specialist skills listed below, we would love to hear from you:

  • Contesting
  • Dealing with Regulators
  • Governance and policy development in SMEs
  • Marketing – particularly in the charity or not-for-profit sector
  • Project evaluation and management
  • Publications and web-based delivery
  • Spectrum Management/Development
  • Strategy implementation, development and monitoring
  • Teaching/training – particularly in vocational subjects
  • Team building and internal/external communications
