9 May 2022 – Contesting: pushing the boundaries! by Mark Haynes, M0DXR

| May 9, 2022

Mark’s presentation

Mark will talk about the very exciting world of contesting, also known as radio sport. He will explain how this aspect of amateur radio can be not only a good test for your station but also a great way to make lots of QSOs with many countries in a short period of time.

It allows the operator to test their abilities too, with a great personal challenge aspect and maybe even compete against others in your own country and beyond.

The presentation will cover the basics on contesting.  It will also give a flavour of the more advanced techniques adopted by more experienced and extreme contesters and explain what it takes to achieve a world win in the largest events of the year.
