Arkwright Scholars placements wanted

| May 29, 2015

Could your company help show bright young people what the radio industry has to offer?

Many radio amateurs think the Radio Communications Foundation just looks after the UK’s radio exams but, every year, it sponsors two Arkwright Scholars who have an interest in radio or electronics.

The RCF Trustees are also often asked if they can help to find radio-related work experience places for these scholars.

James Russ, 17, is an Arkwright Scholar and described his week’s experience at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, Guildford as “a truly incredible experience and… an invaluable insight into the diversity of the jobs that engineers perform.”

If you think you can help to provide experience for other young people, please contact Marilyn Slade via secretary@commsfoundation.org after 1 June 2015.
