DX News – 6 December 2015
Martin, W8AKS will be active as 8P9EZ from Barbados, IOTA reference NA-021, from 5 to 12 December. He will operate on 40m to 10m and logs will be uploaded to Logbook of The World.
Haru, JA1XGI will operate from the South Cook Islands as E51XGI from 3 to 10 December. Operation will be on all bands 160m to 10m, CW, SSB and digital. QSL via his home call sign.
Antoine, who normally is resident in Fiji using the call sign 3D2AG, will be travelling to the separate DXCC entity of Rotuma, OC-060, from mid-December until mid-January. While in Rotuma he will use the call sign 3D2AG/P. He will be using solar power and a Spiderbeam and/or wire antennas on all bands 80m to 6m.
Freddy, F4HEC will be travelling in the Pacific region during December. Look for him as KH2/F4HEC from 3 to 9 December from Guam, OC-026. This will be followed by activity as KH0/F4HEC from Saipan, OC-086, in the Mariana Islands from 10 to 13 December.
Pedro, C5WP will be active in The Gambia from 12 December to 9 January. He also hopes to operate from Western Sahara and Mauritania. He is planning to bring delta loops for 80m as well as operating on the higher bands. The country’s only other amateur, C5YK, is leaving the country permanently, which leaves Pedro as the only resident ham left in The Gambia.
