Antrim and District Amateur Radio Club activates GB2CW on Tuesdays from 7pm on 145.250MHz FM. This is ideal for anyone interested in learning Morse, or wanting to brush up their CW skills. All are welcome to call in. Transmissions are from Co Down, covering greater Belfast and surrounding areas. It’s good fun and the sessions aren’t too long. There are voice nets on Friday and Saturday on 2m from 7pm. Zoom meetings are held at 8pm on the second and last Tuesday of the month. For details, email mi0wwb@btinternet.com

The Strangford High Frequency Radio Enthusiasts Group has nets on Mondays and Thursdays at 9pm for those wanting on-air training for the Full UK Licence. Frequencies, times and modes are negotiable, and the net is supported by email and internet resources. This has proved both enjoyable and beneficial. The Next Mid Ulster ARC Tuesday Night Lecture Series is on Tuesday the 26th. Steve Shorey, G3ZPS will talk on the topic of 999 emergency public safety communications past and present. Steve was a senior systems engineer in the Metropolitan Police Service and will be talking about the origins of emergency comms to the present day. Everyone is welcome to stream the lecture.
