Aberkenfig and District Amateur Radio Club has its weekly meeting on Wednesday from 7pm at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend. The club is an approved RSGB Examination Centre for those wishing to study and take their amateur radio exams. Brian, GW4DVB, info@aberkenfigradioclub.co.uk

Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding a ‘rig health check’ meeting on Tuesday the 5th of September starting at 6.30pm. Members are invited to bring their radios along if they want them checked over. There will also be a short committee meeting at 7pm. There is no Digital Net on XLX490D that Tuesday evening. Three other regular nets are being held: a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm; a 2m FM net on GB3FG on Thursday starting at 8pm; and an 80m SSB net on Sunday starting at 2.30pm. In addition, on Saturday 9th of September, the club is providing Special Event Station GB2SCC in support of the annual CHOTA event between 9am and 3pm. Cwmbran And District Amateur Radio Society has a club night every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at Henllys Village Hall, NP44 6JZ. New and old members are always welcome. The Society has a fully-equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater, with an Echolink connection via GB3YA-R, which are both owned and maintained by the club. Highfields Amateur Radio Club meets at Rhiwbina Recreation Club, Lon Y Dail, Cardiff, CF14 6EA at 7pm every Tuesday. The club has access for disabled visitors. Rhondda Amateur Radio Society has now moved to Ystrad, Rhondda, Sports Centre, CF41 7SY, where there is greater availability of car parking space, and better access to main bus route stops. The club anticipates that the move will make it easier for residents, both local to Rhondda and beyond, to access it. At present, the club is involved in getting its equipment and training sessions up and running. This is an ideal time for new members to become involved.
