FUNcube-1 launch coming up

Amateurs will be pleased to learn that AMSAT-UK’s FUNcube-1 satellite, which has a 70cm to 2m linear transponder and telemetry data transmitter, will be placed into orbit on 21 November. New Zealand amateurs to get 6m in December

The last Channel 1 Television transmitter in New Zealand is due to close down at the end of November. The telecommunications regulator has announced that as of 6 December that amateurs in New Zealand will have access from 50 to 51MHz without needing to apply for a permit.
