VHF, UHF and Microwave Beacons
Beacons provide an essential service for propagation, development and testing. The VHF, UHF and Microwave bands are home to a substantial number of beacons in the UK and abroad. Beacon frequencies and operation are coordinated based on IARU Region 1 technical guidance and band planning.
The current point of contact is Murray Niman, G6JYB who liaises with fellow spectrum managers and the Propagation Studies Committee.
