Philippines radio amateurs braced for typhoon aftermath
As this edition of GB2RS went to press, Typhoon Haiyan had just made landfall in the Philippines. Ham emergency radio operators, known locally as HEROs, expect to be busy in the coming days, as the community deals with damage from winds gusting up to 275 kilometres per hour, that’s 170 miles per hour.
