New Legacy Committee Chair appointed
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Emily Groves, M7MLE as the new Chair of the RSGB Legacy Committee. Emily will be working alongside the Committee to promote the availability of the RSGB legacy funds and to advise the Board regarding applications from projects seeking legacy funding.
Emily is the co-founder and Director of a Community Interest Company set up with a friend. The Company provides work experience for young people who want to get into coding as a career, but the usual avenues are not easily open to them.
Her day job is working for a housing association, as their Data Services Manager.
The RSGB Legacy Fund, thanks to the generosity of donors, has resources available to encourage and develop amateur radio. Some excellent projects have already been supported. However, the fund is able to do more and, to succeed, it needs good proposals. Its objectives are deliberately wide and projects must make a difference for lots of people.
