Special Event Stations and COVID-19
In the light of government guidance on the Covid-19 pandemic, Ofcom is relaxing the requirement that Special Event Stations be open to members of the public. Ofcom says that applicants may disregard that requirement in the application form and on the online portal, although the form and portal will be amended to remove it in due course. The RSGB would urge all radio amateurs to continue to act in line with the government’s advice on social distancing.
