This week’s Youngsters on the Air stations
December is Youngsters on the Air month and 37 stations will be operating all around Europe, Africa and the Middle East, getting young people involved in amateur radio. There are even two stations from Asia and the Caribbean that are part of this event. In the UK, the callsign G14YOTA is moving around the country throughout December. Today, the 7th, Leicester Radio Society will be on the air, followed by St Georges Academy Radio Club on the 8th and Pentland Firth Radio Hams on the 10th. Silcoates School goes on the air on the 11th and 12th, followed by the RSGB Region 8 team on the 13th. Finally for this week, Wakefield & District Radio Society will be on the air next Sunday, the 14th. If you hear young people on the air at these stations, please take the time to speak to them.
