Aberkenfig and District Amateur Radio Club has its weekly meeting on Wednesday from 7pm at Tondu Railway Club, Station Approach, Bridgend. The club is an approved RSGB Examination Centre for those wishing to study and take their amateur radio exams. Brian, GW4DVB, info@aberkenfigradioclub.co.uk

Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding a face-to-face social evening and an on-air night on Tuesday 17 October 2023 from 6.30pm onwards, so there is no digital net being held on XLX490D that evening. There is also a short committee meeting scheduled for the 17th, from 7pm. Three of the regular nets will also be held this week: a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm; a multimodal digital net on XLX490 D on Thursday, starting at 8pm; and an 80m SSB net, conditions permitting, on Sunday starting at 2.30pm. Andy, GW0JLX, 07768 282 880

Cwmbran and District Amateur Radio Society has a club night every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at Henllys Village Hall, NP44 6JZ. New and old members are always welcome. The Society has a fully-equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater, with an Echolink connection via GB3YA-R, which are both owned and maintained by the club.
