Carmarthen Amateur Radio Society is holding a face-to-face social evening and an on-air night on Tuesday 17 October 2023 from 6.30pm onwards, so there is no digital net being held on XLX490D that evening. There is also a short committee meeting scheduled for the 17th, from 7pm. Three of the regular nets will also be held this week: a 70cm FM net on GB3CM on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm; a multimodal digital net on XLX490 D on Thursday, starting at 8pm; and an 80m SSB net, conditions permitting, on Sunday starting at 2.30pm. Cwmbran and District Amateur Radio Society has a club night every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm at Henllys Village Hall, NP44 6JZ. New and old members are always welcome. The Society has a fully-equipped shack for member use which also houses the GB3YA repeater, with an Echolink connection via GB3YA-R, which are both owned and maintained by the club.
