RSGB elections: unopposed nominations

Nominations in the RSGB elections closed at the end of January. For roles where a single nomination was received, the candidate is therefore elected unopposed and will be invited to take up their role at the end of the RSGB AGM in April. Peter and Mark were invited to have a video interview because we think it is important that RSGB members should be able to hear from Board Directors and understand more about their thoughts on the issues facing amateur radio and the RSGB. The first video is just two quick questions, and the second is the more in-depth interview. Click or tap the images below to hear what they have to say…

The interviews were pre-recorded separately, and each candidate was asked the same set of questions. They were not told the specific questions in advance, other than the first one which asked about their amateur radio experience and interests. Their answers are combined in these two videos so you can see each candidate’s thoughts on the same question.

Regional election unopposed candidates

In this year’s Regional Elections there were eight Regional Representative vacancies (Regions 1, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12). In Regions 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12 a single nomination was received, and that candidate is, therefore, elected unopposed and will be invited to take up their role at the end of the RSGB AGM in April 2025. In Region 9, no valid nomination was received.
